Who is We Three Designs?
Upon meeting in 1995, we at once discovered more in common than quiet, “normal” lives with our families in south suburban Denver. Our colorful houses shared a remarkably similar trend towards eclectic, artsy treasures, having a distinctly different flavor than the surrounding traditional homes. A friendship blossomed over lattes and red wine, and we plunged into creative endeavors together.
On a Northern California vacation in 1998 when the wine flowed and glasses were mixed up, the idea of glass identifiers began taking shape. In short order the original “That Wine is Mine!” wine charms were born. The seed of a potential business was planted. It bloomed, grew, and consumed the lives (in a good way) of the Greene and Petti families over the next 4-ish years. “TWIM” sold in 2003 and once again the relative calm and peace from our pre-wine-charmed days returned.
It was all lovely, but, not content to sit with idle hands, we dabbled in mixed media and collage. In 2005, a friend suggested that we “make something” for a Christmas boutique, 6 weeks away. As fate, or blessing, would have it, we had been exploring the wonders of soldering, and once the ideas and solder flowed together there was no turning back. The possibilities were irresistible and endless! The boutique was a smashing success. Once again, a bouncing baby business had been born. We christened it We Three Designs, to represent not only the two of us but also the Lord God who holds it all in His hand, and who is infused in all we do (after all, He is the original Creator!).
Well, we found the territory familiar: the product line and demand grew and grew and begged to be mass-produced but we have insisted on keeping the scope small (well, “ish”) and personal. We design and produce each piece, just the "three" of us, and are tickled pink that you folks out there like it. Matthew 19:26 says, “With God all things are possible“. We believe.
